Nomex is a brand name for a type of meta-aramid fiber. A Nomex filter bag is a type of industrial filter bag made from a high-temperature-resistant synthetic fiber material called Nomex. Nomex filter bags are able to operate at temperatures up to 400°F (204°C). However, some specially designed Nomex filter bags can operate at even higher temperatures, up to 500°F (260°C).
